![]() ![]() Might go back if a show wanting to see.The Bijou is located inside Wonderland of the Americas mall. Did not have to wait in any line for tickets and enjoyed the show and not crowded at all on a Friday first showing. The show began on time and temperature and sound volume were good. Did not use the bathrooms so cannot say what they were like. The theatre and lobby smelled heavy of carpet cleaner to mask musty or moldy smell as theatre is older and maybe needs carpet replaced. This allows for people to walk through easier but not too convenient to eat I wouldn't think. We did not order food but noticed it would be difficult to eat comfortably as the seat sit way back from bar tables and tables are tall. It has a cafe for food purchase that you can take into theatre and there are long bars in between seats. This venue shows movies that some other mainstream theatres do not. There are escalators from the upper level also. You have to park a ways and walk down stairs unless you park in the area where you are on upper level and then take. This venue has been here a while and is in an older, updated mall, on a very busy expressway intersection. It seemed kind of like a dollar theater with wait staff. And like 12 to 16 need an adult with them. They also dont allow children under 12 I believe. You pick your seat when you buy your tickets. Before we received our food or could really experience the service. I did not like them bringing the check out in the 1st 5 minutes of the movie. ![]() Then we had to read for her drink and wait anotber 5 minites for that. The tator tots were a smallish portion, taste kind of weird, and werent crunchy. My friend didn't get her food for at least 45 minutes. The theater did trade our popcorn out for nachos (which were in a box and bag so fast like regular movie nachos). It take like burnt pladtic or something (and the lobby kind of smells like this so I think it is commonplace). After a few handfuls my friend and I both took a bite that was completly awful. The popcorn taste kind of bad at first but we were hungry so we ate some. I got my food (popcorn and drink) in about 15 minutes. ![]() The prices were decent, and there was a military discount, which was nice. It looks well-worn and had a peculair smell. We went to this to see Colette, as it was the only theater playing it in San Antonio. If you are in the area or staying at the hotel across the mall road, you might want to check this place out. The sound was fine but a little chilly at first probably because it was an early show and only a few people in the theatre. The seats were comfortable but do not recline. It did not obstruct the view though as well as the rows in front do not obstruct the view from further back. But it is didn't appear very convenient as you would have to sit tall and front of your seat to reach it. This venue offers nice seating with a bar type table in front of your seats. We bought our tickets at the concession but did not buy any food. In fact there were very few people around. This mall is nothing like it used to be in its "heyday" and there were hardly any places open at the food court and no people. can avoid the stairs and use the elevator located upper and to the left of the stairs. If you enter on the side where the hotel is located, you. This is located in the lower level of the mall by the food court. It had been several years since last visit here but movie choice was here and were in the area.
